SGM's Toronto office:
SGM's Toronto office often hires summer students to perform litigation support work similar to that performed by articling students. Preference is usually given to students who have completed the second year of law school and who have taken at least one course in labour law, labour arbitration or an equivalent course.
SGM's Toronto office does not participate in the fall recruitment for summer positions. Summer student positions will be posted on this page in January of each year. Applications will be accepted during the time lines set out in the posting. The posting will also identify the information students should include in an application and the person to whom the application should be sent. Interviews are usually held in February.
SGM's Ottawa office:
SGM's Ottawa office often hires a summer student to update certain chapters of Trade Union Law in Canada, and to do some case file work. Summer student positions are posted in January or February each year.
The summer positions in both Toronto and Ottawa for 2010 have been filled. We thank all applicants for their interest in SGM.
