Hospital P3 costs were 'flubbed'

SGM’s Steven Shrybman was quoted in a Daily Commercial News story regarding a report commissioned by the Ontario Health Coalition, which alleges that the potential cost of the William Osler Health Centre in Brampton could cost $300 million under the governments P3 scheme than if it was funded through the public sector. "The cost-premium for the hospital is one problem, accountability is another management and control of the hospital itself is a third, and the fact that behind ... the complexity of the P3 contracts themselves are opportunities to build private facilities inside public institutions," Shrybman said.
